Project Green AV Review of InfoComm STEP Rating System Draft 1

Congratulations to InfoComm and all in the industry who worked together to create this first draft of the STEP Rating System.  This is exemplary work and a major stride for Green AV.

The STEP Rating System hits on two of the most important topics in Green AV for the future.  First, STEP wisely focuses on the full cycle of equipment, awarding points for re-use, sourcing reclaimed equipment and putting in place environmentally responsible plans for equipment’s end of life (including recycling).

Project Green AV Hosts Green AV Guidelines Webinar

Project Green AV is hosting a complimentary webinar on Tuesday, November 17, from 2:00PM – 3:00PM EST. The webinar, entitled "Green AV Guidelines: From Lobby to Practice," explores Green AV guidelines, standards and regulations.

Speakers will discuss how these third party methods can be used to promote valid environmental responsibility on the part of manufacturers, integrators and others in the audio visual industry to best serve customers and the larger goal of improving the health of the planet and environmental stewardship across the industry.

Webinar speakers include Midori Connolly from Pulse Staging, Brian Huff from AcenTech and Gina Sansivero from Project Green AV. Both Ms. Connolly and Mr. Huff are members of the InfoComm Green AV Task Force, an organization that has made strides in developing Green AV guidelines and standards.
